An 8-year-old boy went to the hospital on March 20, 2007 after a neighbor's dog attacked him. He suffered deep puncture wounds to the back and front of his arm, but expected to be okay.

The incident is the latest in a spate of dog attacks in the city and state over the past few months, including one that resulted in the death of a 10-year-old girl.

In their wake, state lawmakers have filed several bills aiming to crack down on dogs that attack by increasing criminal penalties for their owners.

If you or a loved one has been injured by a dog, please contact my office to discuss your claim.
