The Texas Medical Board has disciplined 48 physicians. This was a lot less then in 2006 when Texas reported the most in history which was 99 physicians was disciplined. With caps limiting lawsuits to correct the behavior of physicians, it becomes imperative for the Texas Medical Board to be active in its pursuit of disciplining physicians who have unsafe behavior. The Star-Telegram has a listing of the various orders by the Texas Medical Board.

The orders include physicians who were disciplined for quality of care issues, unprofessional conduct violations and inadequate medical records. You can look up any prior violations by Texas physicians by searching the Texas Medical Board website.

1. Call - Complaint Hotline 1-800-201-9353 and follow the automated prompts to request a complaint form to be sent to you.

2. E-mail - Submit your complaint electronically via e-mail.

3. Form - A complaint form may be requested by calling the Complaint Hotline at 1-800-201-9353, by printing the web version, the PDF version, the MS Word version or by submitting the form electronically via e-mail. Although it is not necessary to use our form to make a written complaint, we encourage you to.
