After two infants died, Delta Enterprise Corp., a maker of children’s products, has voluntarily recalled 1.6 million baby-beds. Delta, working with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, officially began the massive recall yesterday. As a part of the official announcement, Delta put up a website for parents and caregivers to get more information on the recall. Consumers can also call 800-876-5304 to get more information on which cribs are affected and what parents can do to make them safer.

The recalled cribs were made from 1995-2007 and are not a part of Delta’s current inventory. However, some of the defective cribs may be found in thrift or after-market stores. Parents are urged to stop using the recalled cribs until they can replace the missing parts with additional safety pegs or a retrofit kit. Delta Company spokesman, Jack Gutt said,

“We're erring on the side of caution. ... Anyone who calls and has these cribs that were constructed in these time periods, we're going to send anybody and everybody either additional safety pegs or the retrofit kit.”

For more information view the video on these dangerous cribs. This recall can save innocent lives from this dangerous product but often people do not find out about recalls until it is too late. Hopefully Delta Enterprise is doing everything they can do to make sure the recall is well published and gets to the consumer of this product.

Recently, I published an article on product recalls. Does anyone know where or which country these cribs were manufactured?
