San Antonio Woman Killed in Car Accident

A car was driven off the road on Loop 1604 and then flipped in the center median. The 25-year-old driver of the car was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the car. She was then hit by another car.

The victim

was driving a Honda Accord west on North Loop 1604 at a high rate of speed, according to witnesses quoted in a police report. Somehow the car drove off the roadway and flipped several times onto a grassy median, ejecting her, the report said.

No other vehicles were near the Accord at the time of the wreck, according to the report.

The driver of the Accord was killed in the accident. The police are investigating but no charges have been filed against the driver of the car that hit the victim.
