A car accident in Swissvale injured three people on Sunday. A man from San Antonio was cited for careless driving and failing to provide proof of insurance. He was driving westbound when he crossed the double yellow line and struck another vehicle.

The wreck was on U.S. 50 about a mile east of Swissvale.

Richards reported Costello made an unsuccessful attempt to swerve away from an eastbound Buick carrying three people. The front of the passenger car struck the right side of the Costello pickup.

The three people in the other car were hurt. They were all taken to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries. They have all been discharged.
