Two cars suspected of drag racing down Southwest Military struck a third car, injuring a 4-year-old girl and her mother. Police were able to apprehend one of the drivers that caused the car accident, but the other car drove away.

There was a lot of debris all over the street, including children's toys. A four-year-old little girl was thrown from the car. She was taken by helicopter to university hospital along with a woman believed to be her mother. Luckily, police say their injuries are not life threatening.

"At the time of the accident, I don't see how she could have been in a safety-belt, but that doesn't mean she didn't take it off, cause there was a safety seat," Sgt. Jules Morris, with the San Antonio Police Department, told News 4 WOAI's Aubrey Mika.

The police do have a license plate number and description of the other car. It is a gray or silver 2003 Mazda with license plate number 737-VSG. If you have any information, please contact San Antonio Police.
