Llano Car Accident Kills Woman

A woman from Kerrville was killed in a car accident on Thursday. The single vehicle accident happened just outside of Llano on Texas 16. The driver of the SUV drove into the guardrail.

The victim's

2007 GMC Acadia drifted to the right of the roadway, hit a guardrail and stopped in a ditch. Coates, who was wearing a seat belt, died at Llano Memorial Hospital about an hour after the Thursday afternoon accident, according to Tommy Cavazos, a communications operator for the Texas Department of Public Safety.

It is not known what caused the accident. The weather was not responsible for the crash according to the DPS. No one else was hurt in the car accident. The victim was 68-years-old.
