Thursday, June 28, 2007, around 4 a.m. at loop 1604 and Lockhill-Selma, driver, Marc Taormina slammed into a grass embankment ejecting three passengers. Mr. Taormina was charged with three counts of intoxication assault. Logan Planty and Christopher Gallegos died at the scene. Auriel Montgomery was taken to University Hospital, where she was in stable condition. The front-seat passenger, Anthony Aaron Penaflor, was treated at University Hospital and released Thursday morning.
