Two people were seriously hurt, one person suffered minor injuries, and the driver of the car was not hurt. The injured were taken to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.

According to the CHP, the Ford was traveling in the No. 1 lane northbound on U.S. Highway 101 north of San Antonio Road at 5:35 p.m. when the driver lost control while making a lane change.

The vehicle traveled off the east edge of the road, struck a dirt embankment, several trees and then caught fire, according to the CHP.
