Allstate ranks as the worst insurer for consumers. Surprise, Surprise!
"While Allstate publicly touts its 'good hands' approach, it has instead privately instructed its agents to employ a 'boxing gloves' strategy against its policyholders," said American Association for Justice CEO Jon Haber. "Allstate ducks, bobs and weaves to avoid paying claims to increase its profits."
My experience with Allstate is their lack of taking care of their own policyholder. Some of my clients who have been long standing policyholders with Allstate and had never made a claim in the past, get in a car wreck and Allstate won’t reimburse their own policyholder for their complete medical care.
Insurance industry greed and the refusal to pay just claims, hardball tactics against policyholders, executives with extravagant salaries and raising premiums while hoarding excessive profits is the pattern amongst these insurance companies.
The top ten rankings for the worst insurer are as follows:
1. Allstate
2. Unum (NYSE: UNM)
3. AIG (NYSE: AIG)
4. State Farm
5. Conseco (NYSE: CNO)
6. WellPoint (NYSE: WLP)
7. Farmers
8. UnitedHealth (NYSE: UNH)
9. Torchmark (NYSE: TMK)
10. Liberty Mutual
“Thousands of court documents, materials uncovered from litigation and discovery, testimony, complaints filed with state insurance departments, SEC and FBI records, and news accounts were reviewed to compile the rankings and statistics.”
